Conquest of the Empire

A fun, not so little, game that my young sons seem to enjoy ... at least until the combat really gets going - poor Marcus caught in a pincer movement ...

Conquest of the Empire
He did well, until faced with big forces on both sides, having to concentrate on one or the other left him wide open to counter-attack ... he lost his capitol and with it his cash reserves, without the forces to take it back available the game was essentially over.

Looks like fun, Murdock. I've still got the orginal version somewhere in the garage.

Got a lot of mileage out of that one with the kids back in the day. I'm ashamed to admit that my competitive instincts didn't relax even against children. "Hey ! You can't attack that province without your Caesar !"

Regards,
Steve

Thanks Steve,

We have only been playing the 'simple' first rules, no cards or politics yet.

I have it pretty easy most of the time ... the boys want to 'get at' each other and keep forgetting that Dad can be patient, build up the economy ... then when I do show up it is impossible to stop me, especially after they have been pounding each other down.
