Interesting approach Murdock- I can see the potential for switching base coverings around as suits the battlefield. Do you think the fur would take dye?
If it is a polyester or other synthetic material? NO.
I tried that a few years ago, they all failed miserably.
My alternate purpose is to have the different coverings to denote different armies, or divisions, on the tabletop faster.
Quite wild looking country! But, as a fellow war gamer once remarked: battle aren't usually fought on a bowling green.
