A yule gift for my wife, from my eldest son, was a set of unpainted miniatures.
He wanted them painted up in time for her birthday, on Feb 28.
So I set to the task in mid January and had them done while she was away doing some rehearsals.

I decided to do a zenithal base coat layer, then attack them using my inks and damp colors to 'mix' somewhat on the miniatures.
