Travelogue IX: Glastonbury B

 The Tor

the path goes up the western slope of the hill

to St Michael's Tower

I paused for a panorama at the 1/2 point

the tower was still further to go

gave a great demonstration of the 'hill shadow' effect
that I simulate in our games

entry into the tower is now locked off

I took this opportunity near sunset to take a series of panoramic photos from each corner of the tower.

We then made our descent.  Going downhill is always more difficult for me.

From the Tor climb, came time to decompress at Little St. Michael's house and the Chalice Well Gardens.

We were staying here, so the grounds and gardens were ours to explore in after hours.

this space was a special sanctuary for Mary, and so she took many more photos than I did.

inside the Guest spaces were more artworks

The next day was an exploration to Avebury, before we left we found this hidden artwork of the Welsh Dragon:

painted during the pandemic no less
