Long distance battle via text

 The ACW campaign has generated a battle and I was pleasantly contacted regarding actions for my division on the tabletop.

It was a fun way to have my mind engaged via the long-distance game.

The battle has progressed ...

fully deployed artillery - though now
screened by other Union troops
should that attack falter, we are in position
to backstop them and halt any
counter-attack instantly

The battle is at Manassas, and as was historically happening the Confederates are rushing into the location ... I do hope the GM is keeping track of how exhausted and less effective such units would be.

Long Distance Diversion

 So a little ACW game has cropped up and I have a chance to get a feel for another game-master's approach to the e-mail running of a campaign.

I have produced a cyberboard gamebox from the map done by another player and some flag scans of my own.

Combined with the data set from the Napoleonic Campaign of Nations game that I did in 2013 and I have a full set of pieces in a new layout.  Shared this with the campaign organizer.

Looks like a tabletop battle or two is brewing (wink-wink) and there may be a video game from the tabletop in the near future.
