In continuing the expansion of my ECW forces for play with Jeff in our games, I have started on my Royalists ...
I have decided to do a mix of Welsh sorts and Cornish troops, to augment ones that other players may have of the core Nottingham or Oxford Armies.

They are planned to have Welsh colors of red and green with a red lion on the flag.

At least two more foot units are proposed for the Welsh, could see more in the future.

Good work! Interesting approach to mounting horsemen for painting.
That's a clever way to mount your cavalrymen for painting. Might have to steal that idea. Figs look good, too.

Go ahead and use the painting jig idea, I came up with it because it is much faster to paint the horses as separate from the riders, leaving more of the rider open to the detail and color work, while most horses are really simple earth colors.
