WWII inspired imagery.

With Grimsby Mariner doing some WWII troop engagements, I was suddenly struck with the imagery used by "the Saturdays" in this video:

Lots of little 'pinup' fun!

Ca Ira!

Definately a different interpretation of the Versailles moment...

Ahh the distance of history takes us so far away from the passion and reality of what a mob can do!
With such an innocent start...

The French Revolution marks the start to the age of the nation states.

Songs such as this one were used to create a spirit of nationalism that continues to this day.

Is two centuries long enough to dim our collective memory of the time before the 'national' enterprise?

Long Live the King

I am hip deep in the preparations for a Long Live the King game planned for the coming Dak-Kon convention in Courtenay, BC.

In two weeks I will get a last chance at a playtest then go live on February 28 at the event.

Following the playtest I will have some comments for all of you here.

If you know of any play aids from the web please enter a comment regarding them and I will try to bring them into use. I have a word document one that I am working with right now.

Cheers

Reality Check:

I have been rather busy with business and learning about business opportunities recently and have not posted here much.

Nor have I finished many painted minis, the need to have funds outweighs the need to move a brush right now.

Along the way in my learning I have come across a significant observation and feel that I must share it with anyone willing to listen.

"The financial tide is moving. It will not float any boats."

Please view the following two videos and take the information in...see where it might apply in your life.

I share it only because I understand that not knowing will be the greatest mistake.

Thanks all.
